MCT and WSE are under the same parent company. compcar or comcar or something like that. We both basically have different customers I think. I atleast haven't seen any WSE drivers at the same places anyway. We pull a ton of WSE trailers around tho.

The only difference between WSE and MCT is that MCT are all owner/operators.

I'm going back to WSE next week, I left due to personal issues at home. Hadn't heard about the 100 drivers quiting in June, I know that about 20 or so quit back in april/may. (that must be why the recruiter was so eager to have me back!)
I don't know what you guys would consider reasonable pay, but they started me out at .26cpm, with a .01 raise after 6 months. The training pay is 350 a week (pray you don't get stuck with a walmart load during training, or that your trainer is cool and does most of the manual labor).
I only remember sitting and waiting for a load a couple of times, we were kept pretty busy. Once I started getting better, they started treating us like team drivers.
WSE uses Volvos, Macks, and Internationals, all have auto-shift 10 speed ( I think). I remember they had about 15 or so brand new Macks sitting at the Arkansas terminal, waiting for paperwork. The rumor was that they were switching over to Macks completely.
Hope that answers some questions, this is just from what I remember, so correct me if I'm wrong! -
VA, did you go to school on your own or WSE sponsered school. I am slated to begin school thru WSE 8/18 in Drumright.

As of a week ago (8-1-10) they dont offer thier own school but they do pay for you to go to school. I drove for WSE about 10 yrs ago then quit due to personal issues at home, am starting back with them in 2 weeks they are once again paying for me to go to CDL school in Neosho, Mo.

Yes that's what they are doing for me Wolfsbane, paying for my schooling here in Okla.

yeah, I went to school on my own dime. Wanted to make sure I could do the job, since I'd never done anything like this before. Plus, I didn't want to be tied to a company that I didn't like.
Someone asked if the trucks had apu's in em. Mine didn't, but they let you idle if it's over or under a certain temperature (below 50 and above 85 I think). I let my truck run, and never had any complaints from my DM.
WSE seems to do an okay job on maintaining their equipment. But they can only fix what drivers tell them about. We had a drop and hook run one time, and we passed on 5 trailers before finding one in decent shape. (again, this is my own observation from only a few months experience with the company)BobMac and gsmith2332 Thank this. -
Hi Wolfsbane, I saw you were going to school in Neosho. I assume at Crowder College. Can you tell me how its going? I will be starting there in September. Also have you decided on a company you will be going with yet?
Thanks
