Going to check that hinge out
But not so sure it’s not the coax I’m using
    Did 3 installs this weekend
1-using a hustler magnum HQ-27 antenna with the chrome shop coax .... tuned in perfect
2- Older perterbilt using this Davis RF coax I’ve been buying (RG 8x ) Didnt tune so well.. oh yeah Wilson 2000
3- 2016 Peterbilt, Wilson 2000 and some Wilson super 8x coax, tuned very well .....
So I’m thinking this stuff I have is not so great
Going to find out hopefully next week
Just ordered 100 ft of Belden RF 8x to give it a try
My truck right now has the Davis RF coax in it, I think I fighting a battle with the antenna and it’s not the antenna

Is that what you are using… And is it easy to string through the truck

Chk out my vids on youtube under same name...Peek at the vids labeled as coax routeing and the update..
I hate drilling holes n such so i find ways to do stuff without drilling in company truck..

Don’t have much of a problem with routing the coax
I have 15 trucks that I’ve been routing for years now, and always run the same route as stock
I’ll pull all the panels before I drill anything
    That’s not a problem
Was just wondering about the LMR240 and how it was to run through the truck (flexibility )
You did mention that you ran your coax at a length of 11ft 4 in
How did you come up with that number ?

240 uf..ultraflexx...No probs in routeing just dont do a 90 degree type bends..

I was given a formula for coax length but length is a debate that will go on for 10,000 yrs...I got it written down in my truck so when i go back to work later today ill snap a pic..

492 times VF divided by frequency = coax length.

    492 x .66 (rg 58 velocity factor of 66%), = 324.72 ÷ 27.205 (channel 20) = 11.9 feet.
Or call it 12 ft length of coax, close enough. Unless your Craig...Lol...just kidding.
