Window shade?

I did it after I got skin cancer spots cut out on my arms a few times. Trucks have way to much glass in them these days. To much sun comes in. The windshield and door glass doesn't have to be as big as the windows in a house.
The way I look at it is if the ####### laws say I can’t have dark window tint and the shades arn’t illegal than I’m using the shades.
Just like @Chinatown said they are see thru.

 

Cascadias and Volvos have big side windows.

I totally agree and actually started a reply earlier about the windows being too freaken big these days. Mine are tinted, and I use a window shade, and that's on a W9 which is a smaller window than the typical fleet trucks. If you haven't witnessed stage 4 melanoma consider yourself lucky. Lost my father that way and he wasn't even a truck driver or a sun worshipper.

 

There is probably something on Amazon that will work. My gf just got a couple for her back windows that just cling. Blocks a lot of sun. Only around $12.

 

But those classy Volvos have side window shades. Wish all trucks did. They block about 25%.

I guessing you don’t want to see what working out on the water in Sw Florida for 20 years looks like.

 

Here is one scar from it on my bicep that stays untanned under my t- shirt sleeves. Lost muscle that will never came back. Most of the places i’ve gotten it are not really ever in the direct sun. Dermatologist thinks it may have been caused by an almost 2nd degree like upper body sunburn I got when I was around 15.

 

You mean the ones that fold down from the top on the Volvos? Yes, they do help. Add a stainless chop top look to the door window and that will cut some down too.
