Bought a new lift switch today and installed it. Problem solved. Part was $60 from Peterbilt... Made in France too, I'm shocked that it wasn't China or Mexico.
How hard was it to install? do u have to take the door panel off or does that top switch panel just pop off and can access the window switch from there like shown in the pic ? I need to replace the mirror switch because mine broke off when i wrecked my truck and cant move my mirrors anymore electronically. But was putting it off because i thought it was like gm cars where u have to take out the whole door panel
You're supposed to take the panel off but instead I took a flathead screw driver a lightly tapped/broke the old one out and then took needle nose pliers and pulled the remaining broken part up and then disconnected the wire harness.
You need a new switch..”button” lol. My 2021 and 2023 389 switch failed after only a couple months. Peterbilt knows they are junk! Switch it out with one of the others and you will see what I mean. Put the bad one in the passenger side for now. I got two switches I had to order sitting in Billings, MT if you go that way.
Had same thing happen. Took off my pass side switch and installed on drivers side until I got to pick up a new one on a Monday.
