Windows 10 internet connection sharing

    Anyone done it? Have it working.

    It used to be a breeze setting up. But MSFT seems to have disabled it somehow.

    Google is a dead end. Outlines the same procedure but nothing for trouble shooting.

    I had it working at one point and time.

    I'm trying to hook up to the ethernet port and share it off the wifi signal.

    Well, I was going to say “yes and it’s pretty simple”... but that must have been prior to MSFT’s “new & improved” version with more “advanced features”... Good Luck.

    Oh, and my second much more smart assss answer would be “yes, and it’s pretty simple, just switch to a Mac”

    Not much to go on. And the procedure is still the same. No troubleshooting.

    There's also some home networking setting. But my computer can't find it. Or anything resembling it to even add the protocol.

    The mobile hotspot turns on. But I can't change the name or password. It won't save.

    The services.msc didn't work.

    The firewall thing didn't work either.
