OP have you driven through Kansas in the summer yet? lol so many bugs hit my windshield that I seriously thought that it was raining. I have an easy trick to get the bugs off. I bought a large spray bottle that you can get at a hardware store that allows you to spray at a pretty good distance. I filled that bottle up with Windex, and I can just pull over, turn my wipers on slow speed, get out and spray the window about two times and it is completely clean. I learned this trick one day when I ran out of washer fluid and was amazed at how well it worked without any effort.

I moved on to birds today.I have no idea what I hit,but it
was literally dropped out of the sky.Feathers on the windshield,
and something going down in my mirror.
I got a owl a few months back. That will wake you up at 3am driving
on a nice dark country road.

It may already be on these pages but I've found RainX to eliminate this problem, plus it's other great benefits!

I believe for that one, you need to add a little vinegar to your Windex!:biggrin_2551:

    Anybody hurt there?

Ill be driving from Dallas Texas to Minneapolis, Minnesota on Monday/Tuesday.... but it isn't summer yet.... but I'll get the spring version then!!! That's one of the reasons I asked!
the bugs in Eastern NC during summer are pretty bad too. I was stupid enough to leave a porch light on, on a farm I used to work at one night. I couldn't open the door for the hundreds of thousands of bugs crawling and flying in the light next to the door.... it's amazing how the bugs truly outnumber us by the trillions!
