Yes. But RainX leaves a milky haze on the windshield that can be like frosted glass in certain lighting conditions. I had to use scotch brite pads and rubbing alcohol to scrub the haze off when I used it a few years ago. My experience was it didn't make much difference with ice. I did drive a car my last year in college with no working wipers and using RainX. It was far more effective clearing rain than the wipers.Brettj3876 Thanks this.

rainx washer fluid.

The only time I've had hazing from rainX was if I didn't get the window super super clean before applying itbeastr123, JoeyJunk, tscottme and 1 other person Thank this.

I see it’s a Classic. I wonder if the bug shield is making it worse. Causing more snow on top of windshield. Definitely add some rubbing alcohol to the washer fluid. Maybe try the shorter blades. Same type, bolt on, but shorter.
Final Drive Thanks this. -
Know the op can’t use these . But I bought a set haven’t installed them yet tho......like a rear windows defroster for the edges of the windshield.

There was an O/O that Invented/marketed heated wipers. They used to be advertised in Trucking magazines. Sounds like a Truckers story, I know. But I recall the article on him, and his invention. That was about 25 yrs ago. Never see them anymore.

I had the same problem and noticed defroster air flow was weak near the windshield's center. (See photos from @Final Drive in post 4 of this thread.)
I removed sleeper heat vent deflectors and taped them on top of defroster vents. Then I directed air flow to the windshield's center. Problem solved.LoboSolo Thanks this.
