    I made it into their Florida office 2 years ago when I was going thru school. I read the Contract in detail and and Donna chunked my app. in the waste basket when I objected to the Contract. I went with Conway Truckload for my first company.

    What I meant was "How much are you required to handle the freight/load?" Is it Drop and Hook? Labor intense? Physically demanding?

    Sorry if you misunderstood the previous post.

    You will handle every plant on the truck,

    very labor intensive.....

    You...as the driver unload the plants with a pallet jack/dolly at each stop is what they told me. I dont think it would be to demanding...but dont know for sure. The one driver I spoke to liked the idea of never staying at truck stops because he could always just stay overnight at retail location which always had plenty to do. Sounded good anyway ? Hope that helped.

    One of my classmates did go with Windy Hill. He got deathly sick about 4 months in and couldn't drive anymore. He said the flower loads are just your outbound LTL out of Florida. The rest of his trips were typical Truckload.

    Here's some facts current as of DEC 2012..

    2 Locations Marshfield,WI and Eustis,FL

    Students are welcome

    1 Year contract is mandatory .

    Tuition reimbursement up to $5000. Starts after 6 months @ $100 per month.

    No cost Rider Policy after 6 months . (No pets of any kind)

    35% of the trucks are automatics (Internationals,Volvos,Freightliners)

    You don't bring the truck home, it needs to stay at the terminal unless you get special permission .(Hopefully you live close)

    Paid vacation after 1 year.

    Minimum 3 Weeks out 3 days home ( I was told you stay out longer if you wanted and get more days off while home.)

    Trucks have Qualcom, EZ Pass, and Pre-pass.

    Training pay (typically 4-5 weeks) - $450 per week (no direct deposit until after training)

    Weekly pay , Direct deposit available after training

    Regular starting pay is 29 Cents per mile. up to 3 cent bonus for fuel,route,performance, 2 cent raise every 6 months for the 1st year.

    While hauling plants you get paid $25 per drop after the 1st drop.(1st drop is free and all plants are unloaded by the driver) The other normal loads are lumped ,some pre-payed and others you use a company check number.

    MidWest and SouthEast only. No NorthEast or West Coast.

    Company matched 401K

    Health, Dental, and Vision insurance

    96% No touch freight (basically only the plants from FLOIRDA)

    $25 Pilot gift card for passing DOT inspection
