Winnebago county IL Weight limits

Not that many here will be in the county, but thought I'd post this:

Winnebago County releases spring weight allowances ..

Spring is on its way and the annual freeze and thaw cycles are softening our roads.

In response, Winnebago County Highway Department are temporarily restricting heavy trucks from certain roads. Those roads will be marked with signs and the typical spring road posting period is four to six weeks.

Enforcement of spring weight postings will begin on March 11. The posted limits are:

Two axle vehicles with single rear tires - 9,000lbs
Two* axle vehicles with dual rear tires - 20,000lbs
Three* or more axles with dual rear tires - 33,000lbs
For School Buses:
Two* axles with dual rear tires - 25,000lbs
For Garbage Trucks:
Two* axles with dual rear tires - 25,000lbs
Three* or more axles with dual rear tires - 42,000lbs
*Gross axle load of 13,000lbs.
