Pretty terrible also, expect to be forced to team drive. When you say you don’t want to Team anymore, they will prob drop you off on the side of the highway in the middle of nowhere.

Honestly, if you can cancel the training and get your money back (or most of it) I would do it. If you absolutely have to get your class 1, city or local jobs in a Daycab by the hour.

Anything long haul/OTR in Canada is a waste of life, you would make more at 7-11 with a couple extra weekend shifts.

I can’t keep my temper in check long enough, to write more than a couple pages at a time lol.

I haven't signed/paid anything yet to them, I filled my application form, got interviewed and received an offer of employment, that was required to apply for my Class 1 funding from MB Jobs and Skills. I'm going to start my 244h entry level training with Arnold's academy next month.

I obtained employment offers from both Bison and Arnold (If I'll decide to work for Bison I'd have to sign 2 year commitment with them and there is $2000 cancellation fee, 1 year commitment with Arnold but $3700 for cancellation).
Now I'm trying to figure out which would be better for me. I did my own research and looks like Arnold is a little bit better but still far from perfection.

Your not going to be happy with either, just being honest. Just get your mindset into not being home much, garbage pay and crappy runs.

Arnold is the best school in Manitoba. Working one tear for them should be easy
Just learn to bite your tongue. After that you will be a free bird

I got my license through private training. I hate not being the one holding the cards.

The young fellow looking for a companycould try Four Star out of Mortis. Actually Rosenort. Jake and his brother have a small operation. I don't know how many trucks but probably 10 or more. They were both drivers and mechanics. Have there own shop. Jake is a great guy and an honest decent person. I worked for him when I was fresh out of school. No need to sign up for some preset time. I am not familiar with the new MPIC programs and don't know if you can just go from school to a job. These are country folks and won't screw you around. The trucks are around 05 to 07 but they spend a lot of money to maintain.

All the good companies need 3-5 years now, so I would bank on 3 unless he’s gonna do 1-2 and go local.

Try Frontline Freight Systems - they have TX loads - a guy with us worked for them - hire O/O only and single drivers
