Winter Blast on its way

I don’t think Texas has many snow plows. Some of the interstates are clearing up but the side roads are mostly untouched. It got above freezing today but is down below freezing now so we are dealing with refreezing. I haven’t left the parking lot in my big truck since Friday. Went to diner with one of my pilots and it was pretty slick out. That was when it was still close to 40. Ain’t no way I would be out driving at night currently.

 

Dallas area looks like a mess as is I-40 From Nashville to Memphis..

 

I've been at the house in Houston scince last Friday.
I just looked at current conditions,most say icy and light traffic.
I'm heading to Joplin in a day or 2,depending on weather.

 

Just send me back to Florida and be done with it lol.

 

Southern states don’t have the resources that northern states do. And the temps are remaining colder than they normally do when a storm passes through down there. If it’s not warming up it makes clearing the roads that much more difficult for the states that already aren’t used to dealing with it.

Also, in the pics you posted, when you’re parked and it’s storming it’s a good idea to move your truck back and forth every few hours to keep a small area cleared in front of your tires so you can get going easier.

 

I find it difficult to feel sorry for the people who made the choice to put themselves in this situation.
