If you woulda gone the right direction the first time you probably wouldn't be driving in reverse so much Or are you talking about the reserved parking spot right up front you back into every time it snows.
I'm not slowing down to 10mph along with all the rest of the douche nozzles who are seeing snow for the first time and think their is no traction on ice. -40 solid ice covered roads up north = Hamma time!

This guy (ramblingman) thinks he's God's gift to trucking, quit a good job because he knows better than everyone else. Here's to his time in trucking being short lived.

My speed in Eastern MT when it freezes over is usually 45-60mph depending on how the roads feeling at the time. I'm not going to drop my speed down to the rest of traffic because they've never driven on northern plains ice before.ramblingman said: ↑P
I was going 12mph in case you missed that part... And when he was going he was going far faster than me before he had his next panic attack. Poor SOB didn't have a clue.
So which is it?Click to expand...
I believe i was pretty detailed in my reasons for quitting in the other thread and I don't believe i mentioned anything about god in it. I'm enjoying my time off thoughjoseph1135 said: ↑This guy (ramblingman) thinks he's God's gift to trucking, quit a good job because he knows better than everyone else. . I'll probably get back to work next year so you can rest easy knowing that the truck stops will be full and snow covered roads empty until then.Click to expand... -
So frozen water in MT is different than frozen water in other parts? Your laid up at the house that explains a lot. Bored trying to ruffle some feathers I know no one could be this stupid for real haha you got us!
FatDaddy, allniter and joseph1135 Thank this. -

Other than my lil e/w snow explanation earlier I Really have tried to stay outta this.....&while I'm sure our young friend is Certain he knows how to handle Every possible Bad Wx driving scenario that could ever possibly exist(&has in the ONE whole winter he's done this)
I would like to mention that IF I had a quarter for Every one year cowboy I ever met....who I NEVER heard from again Before the end of their 2d NW Winter....I could have retired b4 I traded my last 359 for my First 379......
But whadda I know.......rank, stabob, joseph1135 and 3 others Thank this. -
I run US-97 in Oregon and Washington all year long. I here It every winter from some clown how speed is your friend in bad weather. I'll never understand where it comes from. Same people tell you if you need chains it's to dangerous, but yet they will drive the same road without them. The only thing makes a chain sign go up in most states, is to many people driving to fast have wreaked.

Running up and down the Western Coastal states is a completely different ball of wax than the northern plains. US-97 will get slicker than snot when it does snow because OR DOT is about as worthless as WA DOT when it comes to maintaining roads during the winter (they exceptionally suck from Bend to Biggs JCT). I'm sure they're both too busy smoking the ganja to worry about that. Also you don't get the kind of humidity or should i say lack thereof on the West coasts as you do in the northern plains and the lowest temp US-97 saw this whole winter didn't even drop below 0* IIRC. Way too warm to get any kind of good traction. I ran in every single region of North America this last winter and i can tell you as a matter of fact that traction on that frozen water varies infinitely dependent on a countless number of conditions which typically vary by the region your in. It sounds like you guys are just running a couple states where traction on ice really does suck IE. the west/East coast or down south and then trying to pretend you have a clue what I'm talking about. I run everything you run and more unless you are a true North American truck driver like I am.Stump said: ↑I run US-97 in Oregon and Washington all year long.
