Then make sure you wash your hands everytime you venture out, plus avoid that phlem bag walking around spreading its virus everywhere.

Thank you. Google "hygiene hypothesis". You develop a healthy immune system by small frequent "challenges" or exposure to common germs. Avoiding germs leaves you with less chance of resisting the germs you fo encounter. Think of it like exercise. You lift weights or walk distance so your muscles & stamina improve. You don't get healthier by avoiding exercise unless it's necessary. You know which state has a lower cancer rate? Colorado. The higher altitudes mean more exposure to cosmic radiation.

get boots that are water proof and hold in warmth, alot of steal toe boots are like that, preferable ones that go up over the ankle so if you step in a puddle deep you'd still be good without soaking your feet. when i was new i had regular sneakers even in the winter and more than once did my feet get soaking wet. which is quite umpleasant thing easily avoided with proper shoes. in the summer time you can go for breathable shoes that prevent your feet from getting overly sweaty or hot.
Just passing by, Lepton1 and TravR1 Thank this. -

I got all the stuff at wallys I’m willing to go cheap on. I tried to get some overalls but they were all made for big farmer joes. My coat I am going not cheap. I’m looking at the Carhartt stuff online you and others recommended. Working crazy OT this week so it should be fine.Just passing by and Lepton1 Thank this.

If you are going somewhere it actually gets cold Driwear TM Longunder wear set. If you are high roller Helly Hansen merino wool longunder wear set. I wear a wicking sock under pure wool sock. None of these items you will find at wallyworld.
I know cold.Dan.S Thanks this. -

First thing is... Don't get out of the heated truck.. If that is not an option perhaps a coat or insulated jacket will do if you are only getting out to p. If you like your toes then maybe some boots with thinsulate in them.
TravR1 Thanks this. -
I bought a durable Carhartt coat, (heavy brown denim outer shell) a few years back. I leave it draped over the passenger seat 12 months a year. It looks like hell because it's sun faded in places and not faded in other places, and it could probably stand a laundering, but it's a great coat for those colder days where you might get up against something wet and dirty as in chaining duty.
