For all you who say not to set your trailer brakes, I whole heartedly agree, BUT, I've had my trailer brakes freeze with out having set them. The heat from the wheelbearings melted the snow around the brakes, and during the night froze the shoes to the drums. I crawled under the trailer and beat and beat. That's when this older gent walked up and tossed a can of de-icer to me and said to spray everything down, then get ready to move. I did what he said, and before I got back in the cab, the brakes were free.
