Winter Storm Stella Thread

0930 here in acton ca (so cal) and its already 68 degrees

 

Upstate SC has had some "winter adviseries" about freezing rain and snow but we haven't had either. Daytime hours, it's been in the low 40's and windy. I had a small amount of water in a container on the porch last night and some of it froze. I was expecting much worse according to ACCU weather app (I don't have heat so I over prepared lol!)

 

Last night here we got more snow then I thought.I went to bed flurries but roads were clear woke up and I'm still shoveling.Was spouse to see a lawyer this morning but I cancelled that till tomorrow.Now its sunny and cold.Hopefully this is the last snow fall this yr.Northeast is getting hammered as we speak.One home owner is in till summer.His house is right by lake Ontario. His entire home is ice.

 

I'm at Oakwood ill now and light snow , roads are fine.
Supposed to drop philly and NYC tmw but I don't think that's going to happen .

 

That ice house reminds me of the story of my father taking a hose to cover the entire house in ice during an Arctic blast. The house didn't have good insulation and was drafty. That was the solution to make a warm, snug house so my mom and new born older brother could come home from the hospital.

 

What northeast u talking about?im in nyc and i dont c a flake of snow
