When I contacted dispatch last night about what I was driving through he said if I felt it wasn't safe to Shut it down. He seemed concerned
-
I'm sure he was concerned, it's easier to justify a driver showing up a little late and incident free, than having fatalities, injuries, property damage, lost load etc... etc....
-
It surprised me.... Normally the only reply they can come up with is "ok"
-
Every once in awhile dispatchers will slip up and show there human side. LOL But seriously (they are people too), I would hope that dispatchers would be understanding when it comes to bad weather. Especially with a driver that is consistently on time and safe.

And one who has never driven a rig in such weather.... Never got to do it in training. I'm facing everything for the first time on my own.

Question for you all. What is everyone doing with the trucks (idling) once the temps get low, say around 10 degree's. Since Prime has put idle limiters on the trucks?

Here is a link for all the states weather. This comes off the forum and I use it all the time also.

some people put the cord on a electric timer and have it come on about an hour before they get up in the morning.
Ive had no problem getting the truck to start as low as -20... assuming I have anti-gel already in my tanks.
