There's three that I've been in contact with. One doesn't work with WIOA and the other two are on a lot of companies radar. I'm hoping I get to go through 2nd Opportunity instead of the community college school. 2nd Opportunity goes longer and the person that I'll be under had already stated that they will not just push someone out at the official end of class. She has stated that if there's things I'm unsure or chancy about; they will take extra time to work with me. I would just have to be upfront and honest about anything I feel unsure or that I feel I need more help with. There is a lot that I think I may be leery over but we will see. I refuse to just jump on and do.somethong if I feel iffy about it. I'm going to take my time and bear in mind that things happen that can be avoided and be aware of what I'm doing. Just doesn't make sense to rush. That causes issues and accidents. I promise to make y'all proud and to.stay away from..flip flops and shower everyday and make sure my truck isn't a #### hole. I'll be sure to keep y'all updated, even if ya don't want or need the updates..haha.

My hazmat endorsement has helped me get most of the CDL jobs I've had.
In hindsight -- I could not afford to NOT have it.
I think most of the world calls that sort of thing an "investment" (& not an "expense").
Especially in the present CDL job market -- you'll need every edge/advantage you can get.
Think about it....

As far as length of program goes, it's good that you want as much training as possible, but don't overthink it. CDL school does not teach you to drive a truck. That's the job of your first company and your driver trainer. School teaches you just enough to pass the CDL exam. An extra month of school wouldn't have left me any more prepared than I was when I got behind the wheel at my first company. -

You doing this later is going to be a PIA, you will have to pay for your license to be changed and all of that, just get it done when you get your CDL, you will be happy you do.FullMetalJacket, tscottme, lual and 1 other person Thank this. -
