Chris Holland is a very good repairman but he doesn't have a clue when it comes to tuning radios for maximum efficiency.

 

If you tell Chris Holland that you are going to purchase a radio identical to the one that Chris Holland worked on and you are going to take it to mark Sherman and have him go through the radio and then you are going to compare the two radios side by side ask him if he would be willing to refund your money if the other radio outperforms the one that Chris Holland worked on and I guarantee he will get pissed off and he will not agree to such a challenge. He knows mark Sherman very well because Mark taught him a lot of things

 

When I first started going to that shop, they where a couple of miles away, next to H-15 before they moved next to the TA. And there was a guy there that did my tuning and I think it might have been Mark Sherman, just just guessing though, and it seemed that he was getting into installing satellites or cable TV stuff. Anyways, when I went back, they had move and Chris was the one running it. Does this make any sense to you ?

 

Chris and Mark never worked together but Mark sent a couple radios to Magnum that he had reworked and Magnum sent those radios to Chris Holland to see if he could reverse engineer some of the things that had been done to make it perform so well and Chris did his best to copy some of the things that have been done and to understand some of the things that had been done. That is what I meant by Chris learning some things from mark but it was all indirect by trying to study marks work.

 

So where can I find this Mark Sherman so when I need my radio tuned next time ?
