Please listen to the police scanner audio. It is on you tube.
The police dispatcher stated Jacob Blakes name.
We know the person making the call told police dispatch that he took car keys and refused to give them back.
We know there was an alert for this address reference a warrant for Jacob Blake.
We know he was tased twice. Prior to being shot.
We know he refused to follow police orders.
Screenshots from the incident show what appears to be a curved-blade knife, such as a Karambit, in his left hand while he was walking away from officers.

Really??

The reports have said the police were called because he took the woman's keys and would not return them.
-
I'm being polite in what I say but I don't understand why some people will reach so far to distort things to the narrative that they want.
Look the guy was a violent Criminal. He was in the midst of whatever Act of criminality he was in the midst of. The reports have clearly said he took This Woman's keys and would not return them so the police were called.
You think that the police did not know he had an outstanding warrant when they ran his record? You don't think they knew the violent criminal that he is when they ran his report? That is just Fairy Tail thinking.
Discussions on these matters are great but there's a few Common Sense things that you have to begin with. Like that when the police check someone's record they know if they're a wanted criminal.
And by the way when a violent Criminal has a warrant for his arrest and the officer's attempt to arrest him he literally fist fights them and gets away from them and gets to his car... which by the way when you are behind someone and they are bent over you can't see what they are doing. At that point the person could be grabbing a knife a gun a grenade a bomb that could kill the whole neighborhood, who knows?
But here's a really radical idea. When the police attempt to arrest a violent Criminal and he resists arrest and gets shot why don't people have common sense to wait and see what actually happened.
This was not some case where a couple cops were driving down the road and and saw some black guy walking down the street and said hey N*****, we're going to shoot you cuz we're white and you're black.
This was a case where the police officers were called to do their Duty which they did and this violent criminal fought them and brought this upon himself.
Should he have been shot 7 times? That's up to the court to decide.
Should idiots be running around calling it systemic racism and burning cities to the ground? Positively not.
That is pure stupidity and the real racism.Last edited: Aug 28, 2020

White/black/pink/green/purple. No matter what color your skin. If you resist arrest and are violent. You are going to most likely be shot. The shooting is not about race. It's about a person who brought it on their self.

I'd be willing to bet gentleroger wouldn't be willing to put a badge on, and put his life on the line on a daily basis.......but is quick to criticize those that do. I wore a green uniform, and was a MP, so he can have his freedom of speech, but don't try to tell someone who has done the job how easy it is, and how they should have done this or that.
Try the job yourself, then come back and tell us YOUR reality of life on the Job.Muddydog79, Rocks, JonJon78 and 2 others Thank this. -
I love people stating how dangerous being an LEO is on a truck driving forum....
Truck drivers are the 6th most dangerous job in America. It's 26.0 per 100,000 for fatal injuries.
Police Officer is 16th at 13.7 per 100,000.
So one is almost twice as likely to be killed on the job as a truck driver.
The 34 deadliest jobs in America
(There are several other articles that show about the same data depending on year)bryan21384, daf105paccar, mjd4277 and 1 other person Thank this. -
That's due to all the steering wheel holders killing themselves in accidents.
Don't mock the risks LEOs take.bryan21384, Muddydog79, Rocks and 3 others Thank this. -
