Like most of this, it's confusing. It's Roshomon on coke and meth. As much as my instinct is to hang him high, I am trying to exercise restraint as I don't know what actually happened (besides him needing mommy to drive him).

He violated a police order, in several ways.

He intended to try and uphold the rule of law.

    He instigated violence.

He was the victim of violence.

The police chief praised people who act like him.

The county sheriff denounced people who act like him.

He has an extensive criminal record.

His criminal record is a bunch of piddly stuff that are a part of growing up.

As much as people would like to paint this (and most issues) as a dichotomy, it's not that simple. There are a lot of moving parts. Things that may not appear related are actually integral to each other. There was a schmuck last year down in Florida who was caught planting evidence on over 100 people during routine traffic stops. That lends credence to victim mentality. "good people on both sides" encourages outsiders to meddle in affairs they have no business in. Locally there is a long history of misconduct and lying by the Kenosha PD coupled with a denigration by both the mayor and the police chief of critical investigative reports. There is a global pandemic that has hit low wage earners harder than most. Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Skokie, and Chicago all have officers convicted of abuse of power in the last year or two. 8 years of "Obamas going to take your guns" preceded by 6 years of "terrorists are going to kill you". Despite 30 years of declining crime rates and the fact that a person is more likely to be a victim of wage theft or fraud than violent crime, rhetoric of law and order is at heights not seen since 68.

We all need to back off and let the process work, but both parties have poisoned the process. Whether it's the entertainment spectacle of Cops, judging police departments by revenue raised, judging prosecutors by win/loss rates, scuppering good legislation for electoral reasons, or a host of other reasons - basic institutions are failing. But good governance doesn't make for good tv.

No. The one speeding ticket in my life I got was a simple disagreement with where the construction zone started. That wasn't harassment.

Me walking down the road and a cop threatening with arrest because I choose to follow the law and not show him my ID is.

Another time was when they were trespassing in my yard (and it was trespass as I asked them to leave my property) because they were "training" a drug dog. No suspicion, reasonable or not, just continued to trespass because they were officers.

And don't try and say I should have done what the officers illegally wanted. The victim doesn't have to cooperate with the one acting illegally, no matter what they are wearing.

    "BLM's Perpetual Fake Outrage Cycle"
    Article from R&F

"Everyone knows the cycle. Everyone knows it ends with false and incomplete narratives eventually being debunked by actual facts. Everyone knows that the racial mythmakers and political opportunists end up with fame, wealth and glory — but never any criminal punishments or moral accountability.

Step 1: Spread out-of-context video clip of Black man subdued or shot by white cops across national media airwaves and social media platforms.

    Step 2: Riot.

Step 3: Accuse law enforcement and America of "systemic racism," decry police brutality and demand "justice" for fill-in-the-blank "victim."

    Step 4: Riot.

Step 5. Enter Al Sharpton, Benjamin Crump, Black Lives Matter chief propagandist Shaun King, and the rest of the racial hoax crime brigade.

Step 6: Persecute and prosecute involved police officers.

Step 7: Burn, loot and maraud nationwide.

Step 8: Demand more funding for "restorative justice," "alternative" policing, sensitivity training and "anti-racism" programs.

Step 9: Bury all evidence of justified police action while screaming, "Racism!" ever louder.

Step 10: Lie in wait for the next opportunity to return to Step 1.

"Hands up, don't shoot" was the foundational lie of the Michael Brown fatal cop encounter, as even the Obama Justice Department was forced to acknowledge. The primary perpetrator of that deception? Benjamin Crump.
The Trayvon Martin hoax, as exposed by investigative documentarian Joel Gilbert, was built on an astonishing key prosecution witness switch-a-roo involving Martin's real girlfriend, Brittany Diamond Eugene (who was on the phone with Martin before he assaulted George Zimmerman) and a ridiculous impostor, Rachael Jeantel, who was barely literate and apparently manipulated into coached testimony by none other than Benjamin Crump.
Three months after the death of George Floyd in Minnesota, we now know this career criminal — who robbed and beat a pregnant woman in a brutal home invasion — refused to comply with police officers from initial contact. He acted erratically, invoked common "please don't shoot me" and "I can't breathe" excuses before was put on the ground, lied about being claustrophobic and was told by one of his own passengers to stop resisting. We now also know that officers believed Floyd was on drugs and swallowed a fatal overdose of fentanyl, compounding his preexisting heart conditions and positive COVID results.
Benjamin Crump, who filed multimillion-dollar lawsuits against the city of Minneapolis on behalf of the Floyd family last month, is now also the lawyer for Jacob Blake.
BLM leaders say what's left of Kenosha after the weekend's riots will burn to the ground unless cops are fired and arrested. Al Sharpton, Shaun King, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, LeBron James, NASCAR race agitator Bubba (Fake Noose) Wallace, Cardi B and Demi Lovato all immediately piled on as well, demanding "justice" and condemning police instead of the perps.

"I didn't understand how important compliance was, but after going through this, yeah, my attitude has changed. This is all unfolding in ten to fifteen seconds. People need to comply with the orders of law enforcement officers for their own safety."

That is the plain, simple truth. All else is racial extortion and deceit. How to save America and end this vicious cycle of smoke, mirrors and ashes? Stop the lies."

A soldier with not even a parking ticket on his record, decorated several times for bravery in the field, would you call him a "law abiding citizen"?

Yet he spend 20y on death row before being equited and cleared off any wrong doing.

It is that highlighted part that is the problem.
By naming him a "animal" you allready have given permission to do as you see fit.
I hope you never are a position off power.

And i have questions for you
If the current system is perfect,as you believe, why is the % off minorities in prison so much higher the % off whites?
Do you believe that minorties are less then whites?
Not capable off respecting the law?
Or do you accept they grow up with less chances and thus more likely to commit crimes?

And this brings up the call by some politicians to raise the minimum wage.
It also touches on the "defund the police" movement who argue to spend more on prevention and less on the aftereffects off crime.(from what i read it isn't like they want to cut the police force altogether, just use funds to better effect)

i live in kensosha, wisconsin. about 1 mile from downtown . Stop resisting , stops the problem. Look a every video, they wont stop resisting arrest. Most of the time, if they comply, over in 15 minutes, BUT, if you have WARRENTS, ohhhh, not going to comply, because there probably going to JAIL. Down rt 50 across from St Catherines Hospital, white cap homes, stands 3 heavily armed guys to the entrance and 3 heavily armed guys on the exit. These are just ordinary people protecting there community. They are Deer Hunters, and know the law for carrying a weapon, they know it VERY WELL. Im at unease with the killing downtown, and support protecting our homes and business. Protesters, we done nothing wrong, we go to work every day come home to our families. And you want to destroy out community, NO !!! Black Lives , change your approach on attacking citizens that had nothing to do with what the police do. We cant do nothing, we work, come home. Wisconsin is the only state that stood up to people trying to destroy our community. EVERYONE here in Wisconsin, HAS A GUN. Deer Hunting season coming soon. I dont hunt, but these guys can shoot a Deer running through the woods, surely can shoot a guy running with a GAS CAN. We can walk down the street whith a 308 cal. Legally. or any semi auto gun. Me, personally , i dont. I dont hunt. i go to woodmans get food cook on the grill, turn on the T.V. Im happy with that. These RIOTERs, they picked the wrong state to burn. You have no idea the minute the RIOTS started, how many Emails i got, Lock and load. showing all there Weapons. Holy cow. The people in Wisconsin are Heavily Armed, mainly for Deer Hunting.
Deer HUNTERs are SNIPERS, waiting and hiding in the woods for PREY. Again, Stop resisting, STOPS THE PROBLEM. My nerves have been a wreck , my wife and it every friday or sunday get gas at the gulf gas station. only $1.99 a gallon last week. now all my grocery stores boarded up, and now i have to travel to get groceries. Black Lives Matter, then stop resisting, and do what Law enforcement tells you and then go home. Its that easy.
