Who's to say Blake didn't comply? Philando Castile complied and was murdered. Brenna Taylor wasn't given a chance to comply. The Phoenix barbie couple complied and was abused. If you think you will be abused or killed no matter what you do - are you going to lay down or are you going to fight?

Between 2% and 10% of felony convictions are unjust. LA cops just lost access to a gang member identification database for falsely entering names of non gang members.

One bad apple spoils the barrel. If these departments were serious about being effective gaurdians of their communities they should at least adopt the reforms advocated by the Heritage Foundation.

 

Wonder what kind of song you'd be singin after the mob showed up at your business or home, beat you to a pulp, and then looted and burned your place...

 

Mr. Blake has a history of violence, he had a warrant for his arrest, he fought with the police and reached for a knife.
The liberal solution is to defund the police and abolish prisons.
The conservative solution is to enforce the laws.
It is up to we the people to decide witch way we go from here.

The reality is if the "protestors" were really concerned about protecting black lives. They'd be protesting in Chicago. Where 64 people were shot. But they are not there. Are they? Black on black violence counts for the majority of deaths. But not a lot of protesting about it. Zero in fact.

 

The LA cops losing access to the gang database is an example of an overreaction that is harmful to the community, made by “leaders” that can’t lead. If there is a problem with abuse, there should have been reprimands, firings, and corrections made. You don’t cut off your arm because it has a bruise on it. You don’t defund police because the institution needs reform. You don’t marginalize cops if you want good policing. Doing so ensures that the good ones disappear and the bad apples that just want to crack heads remain.

Police are not the problem. Rampant crime is the problem. Fix a communities crime problem and the policing problems will take care of themselves.
