Totally agree except for them being stupidly overpaid, well they are, but only thanks to Capitalism and they’re examples of what being successful looks like in America, too bad many can’t appreciate that (regarding to sport players)

 

I didn’t agree with singling out black people for having weapons, even if statistically true (no clue), but if he did indeed go for anything inside his car then I’m fairly certain it was a justified shooting; I’m sure I don’t have to tell you it’s not a suggestion when a police officer tells you to do something, don’t even need a weapon in certain circumstances to get yourself shot; he could’ve been going for his wallet that he left in the car and it wouldn’t change anything

 

IF the officer's accounts are valid, it would justify 1 shot, or 2, maybe 3. But 7?

 

What I would do is counteract everything that makes people in the inner cities want to commit crimes such as better paying jobs to fight against turning to gangs/drug dealing, a chance at a higher education, a chance at earning redemption from committing crimes instead of being thrown away in prison and only learning how to be a better criminal

 

They shoot to kill not wound; if you were shot 3 times center mass what’s another 4? I know nothing of this case and don’t particularly have a dog in this fight, just giving my 2 cents, nor do I like hearing about anyone being shot right or wrong

 

I agree 100% with what you’re saying, but I also see a young man who had so much potential to be something more than a “Weed Blunt smoking, 40oz Old English beer drinkin, 5 kids, No job, prior gun charges, prior resisting arrest charges...” (lol) and it’s a #### shame this was the outcome of his life and so many others, right or wrong

 

I keep a gun by the bed at the house. If an intruder came in, I would unload until I was certain that person would not advance toward me. I doubt that would be less than 3 or 4 shots.

As for police departments, I thought police they teach to shoot until highly confident that the target is immobilized. In close range like that with the suspect going for a knife, I'd probably fire more than 3, maybe 7. Self preservation and adrenaline would kick in, you don't want to leave any doubt the perp can harm you. A couple shots doesn't necessarily stop someone from swinging a knife around.

Yes speculation, but I don't think it's fair to judge the number of shots without hearing expert testimony.
