Better hope it's not the police that lied to get a no knock warrant, and didn't identify themselves.....

The problem with all of this is that in any organization if you look closely enough you will find people that don't do their job or they don't do it well or they are incompetent or they are whatever it is that you choose to describe them.

So you could spend all day and all night picking incidents from any organization.

It does not mean that the organization itself is bad or corrupt or racist or whatever term you choose to put in there.

Now in cases like this where the police were called because this criminal was doing something criminal apparently taking This Woman's keys and whatever else he was doing.

They find that he has warrants for his arrest and he is a violent Criminal. Then this person actually fights them off resists arrest and runs to his car to get who knows what?

So if you look at it with common sense under those circumstances it's honestly not surprising or shocking that he got shot.

What is shocking and appalling is that simply because of race people jump the gun and assume that it's racial and has something to do with systemic racism which is a completely moronic correlation.

And that’s exactly why no knocks should be very rare and only for exceptional situations. Most people if woken in the middle of the night by someone breaking in will feel threatened and defend.

That’s why most police departments don’t use them PERIOD-too much liability and risk.

For an individual in their home, unloading the clip is perfectly reasonable.

But for a trained law enforcement officer it is not. When adrenaline kicks in, the officer should fall back on training. The problem is we have adopted "warrior training " as s.o.p. for police officers. It's one of the reasons why the Phoenix barbie officers acted the way they did, it's why it officer involved shootings tend to have a high number of rounds fired. The 2017 Heritage Foundation report advises to use deescalation as the primary tactic, but warrior training programs teach cops everyone they interact with is a threat. That undisputedly leads to a break in trust with the community.

We don't KNOW that the police were called on Blake. We know they were called on a domestic disturbance, we know they tried to arrest Blake, and we know they shot him 7 times in the back. Everything else is hearsay and rumor - from the cop's knowing about Blake's warrants to the cops alledged troubling social media posts and everything inbetween. I haven't even seen an official time line of call out, arrival, and shooting.

I agree everyone has jumped the gun and needs to sit quietly with the hands in their laps for a week. But too much mistrust exisits for that to be a possibility.

I did not say it had increased or decreased. I just said it continues to go on. The two weekends of shooting in Chicago, 59 and 64 people, with 8 dead. Is that a decrease?

You know how many cops are injured in domestic disturbance calls? Emotions run very high during these conflicts. What we Do know is he pulled away from the police and reached in to get something. These are not the actions of a rationale person. Again, with a rap sheet fairly long, it's more likely than not the police knew this guy and how he acts. He could have stuck an automatic weapon under his armpit and opened fire. If you were a cop standing right there you are telling me you would risk dying to reason with this man? I call BS. Easy to say what YOU would have done from the comfort of watching it on TV. Being there with your life on the line is very different. Why don't you stop defending a felon that failed to obey instructions from the police that would have kept him alive?

Perhaps some of the people who are up in arms about the cops should watch some episodes of live PD. You'd see what they have to deal with everyday. Might understand why sometimes it is shoot first ask questions later.

Remember the officer wants to go home alive.
