Yeah, except I don't have any in the back to floss between. I do have so so front teeth, because I never boinked someone elses gal.
You want a dentist horror story, well get this. My late sister, back in the 90s, had an experimental procedure, where they directed some kind of laser ray at the tooth, and it broke into pieces they simply vacuumed out. Well, a couple years later, she developed a brain tumor, that eventually killed her. My mom asked her trusted dentist about that procedure my sister had, he had no knowledge of that, and was a dental instructor. We suspected foul play, as it was hushed up pretty quick.

I got them done back in the navy. Gave me a little red secobarbital to take 10 minutes prior. Didn't help with pain, just made it " groovy". It was no big deal. There's worse things to worry about in life

Mine was removed at the base hospital. I was given an IV and a very light sedative (I think it was Valium) before I was wheeled into the room. I was given Novocaine in each jaw. Just before they started, the dentist started the Nitrous oxide, and honestly, I was cruising somewhere around 35,000 feet!

It's difficult to describe the feeling. You know you are having teeth pulled, but you don't give a (redacted)!

I am sure it would be hard to describe the feeling.

If I remember correctly the dentist was new , and he gave you four different medications to get you through pulling your teeth. That sounds scary. You were given an IV of sorts, and then Valium, then Novocaine (which would have sufficed alone) and still Nitrous Oxide. You must be a tough customer to knock out. Or maybe the Dr was practicing on you. You still were not knocked out, but I bet you couldn't move. Glad you made it through all that :)

Just 3, the IV was just for fluid, and the Valium was a very small amount. The main thing was the Novocaine. The Dentist was young, but I was far from his first patient.

Without incriminating myself, I heard( cough) nitrous is about as close to being stoned as you'll get. They can vary the amount. Once years ago, the 1st molar I had pulled, they asked if I wanted nitrous. Sure, I said. They put the mask on, but nothing was happening. I said, can you turn it up a little? Sure, and she put the thing to the floor, WHOOSH, and I couldn't tell you what was what after that. Didn't feel a thing, doc, until the gas and novacaine wore off.
To be clear, I know some must think, man, don't mess with this guy, he pulls his own teeth, I don't advocate doing what I did. While being the skeptical type, maybe the heart thing is just a massive ploy to get you in. Either way, I need some kind of dentures, and those ain't cheap, one "estimate, $13grand PER SET, meaning, $26grand for upper and lower, I don't know, a smoothie maker is a lot cheaper. Stupid teeth.

My son-in-law told me yesterday that years ago, as a Captain, he had his taken out. Keri and I laughed as he told the story of almost crying as he left the dental clinic. Then he looked at her and said, "Don't laugh too hard because you still have one in your mouth."

Mine were impacted but I had a great oral surgeon. In & out in 30 minutes. Yes there was the typical swollen jaw, but I wasn't in pain. After they were pulled, I was given Exparel which numbs the area for 2-3 days.
Side note on Exparel: whoever invented this is a genius! It's not just for dental work, it can be used after orthopedic surgery, hernia, gallbladder, and colorectal surgery.

Smoothies can be very healthy. However nothing is good when you have no choice. I have to do the same thing and 70 can be still be alive and well and being the best you can be, living laughing and hey , I am not going to wait till 90 saying .....I wish I woulda done it already. I don't plan on spending 26 grand either. I will shop around. But for an enjoyable worry free, eating anything you want, life. Plus not afraid to smile!! What a joy that will be! I am not wanting to go through this but I know once I do , I am going to be so happy to have done it and be over with it.
If I can do it, anybody can. Just do it. :)
