Yup wm loads up the radios with tone ctrl, recording, mod the mic and a bunch of stuff, about 1500 smackers on a v1 955....No idea on the v2 and the work he puts into them....To much stuff that doesnt need to be there if you ask me..
I also picked him up from ga va skip on a 655 he was useing to my 955 here in eastern canada,he was scattering across a few channels..Sounded decient but scatter is scatter..I made a short vid of it.. -
Videos offer very little hard evidence as to what is actually happening. WAY too much wiggle room

I wasn't going to comment on this thread for two reasons. 1. I don't have any experience with wolfman CB shop, and 2. there's already a long thread about this subject already.
But, I did come across this video and I see he does have a spectrum analyzer and an oscilloscope. So I guess that should lay that one rumor to rest. The only thing I wish D-rail would have done was shown the modulation on his oscilloscope using a one kilohertz 30 mv signal into the radio. I'm not sure about the base / treble mod, maybe he's trying for the motor mouth sound? The radio looked great on the spectrum analyzer.

Timin770 Thanks this. -
Then if your thinking that he has the scope n such his signal this one time i picked him up was scattering across 3 or 4 freq..Im in eaatern canada and he in ga....
Getting him is one thing but with those tools why would it come across a few freq...That tells another story..
I made a vid of it..'88K100 Thanks this. -
Huttons CB shop at the TA in Brookeville PA is the only CB shop I’ll use

Well that's why I wished he would of shown the modulation on the oscilloscope using a signal generator instead of just talking. I know some techs believe in pushing the envelope as far as modulation goes, even 150 to 200%. They claim that's okay as long as you don't pinch the negative peaks. I believe that's called the NPC mod. Personally I don't go over 100% and I believe the audio on my radios sound great. I've never had the desire to push my radios harder than what they are designed for. I have no idea what D-rail believes or what he set the radio in this video to. I just mentioned the fact that he does have an oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer, because some claim he doesn't. Hard to say why the radio you heard was a splatter box. Maybe it's a radio he did a tune job on when he was learning. Who knows, it's hard to say unless the guy you heard mentioned that he just bought it recently from D-rail.
