Who the hell brings a coffin to the house to pick a body up???? I've never heard of such! Is this a Reusable box just for transport?
I was a fire fighter for 12 years, ran an ambulance for 8 years & was a deputy sheriff for 8 years......... I've assisted funeral homes picking up bodies for transport to the funeral home .... and I have also transported bodies to the funeral home in the ambulance. I've never in all my days, heard of carrying a coffin into someone's home or even daily transport in a vehicle to transport bodies. We've used body bags at times, but most of the time, we've always used a typical stretcher and covered the body with a sheet for normal death situations.
If its the case of a reusable box for transport... I'm not sure "Coffin" is the correct term. Then again, I've never heard of this before, so I could easily be wrong.Last edited: Jun 4, 2025 at 12:42 PM

Czech Republic, so who knows. Had an old man flip his pickup in the ditch in front of my house and hit a tree squashing the cab. After the FD cut him out and put him in a body bag they left him in the ditch in front of the DPS Troopers car for several hours until the funeral home came to pick him up.
