Wow most of you guy like to jump around a lot.

 

I was an Air Force Colonel (Retired), I was a stock broker, railroad carman, bank owner (still do but no day to day duties), Poker player (still do), I write and the driving gives me time to relax. I think I would pay the company to let me drive on the best days. On the worst......well the best days make up for them.

 

After high school I got my "chauffeurs" license, what you used to need to drive a truck, I did some local work driving a roll off at night. My real day time job was a County jail officer, I did that for 8 yrs!

* indicate jobs held at the same time, on different days or on rotating basis. Only was fired from 1 job. My own grandmother fired me lol. Couldn't afford to pay me apparently but she fired everyone after deer season for some reason.

 

For me 1st to last landscaper at 18 state certified welder at 21 military at 22 security at 23 fire life safety technician at 25 till jan of this year 29 starting my trucking career now

 

Age 7 weeding gardens/dog walking for the old folk for cake, did more cake eating than weeding.
8 fruit/veg picking, ate more strawberries than picked.
9 dug up bottles in old Victorian dump sites, some were worth a lot on money.
10 cleaned vacation boats on the river.
15 baby sitting for family friends, I think this put me off for life having my own kids.
17 bar maid (England I lied about my age)
19 camping equipment sales.
21 job placement for parolees, ex cons, most of them were nice, just made stupid mistakes in life.
24 sales in retail, the customer was always right (yeah, right), I just sympathised with them and let the manager sort it out.
25 housewife, worst job I ever had.
30 dental assistant. Working with the owner of the business all the time is not fun, one I worked with used to throw things all the time when he got mad. Had the bait and switch going on with pay and bennies. I know how to play that game.
52 truck driving school in Dec. Been researching for three months daily so I have a good idea what to expect.
Life is a never ending exploration.
