Well, you'd have thought it. But in my case, time actually stopped. It all happened in slow motion, but yet really quick. I remember thinking it looked kinda cool, spinning around as it crashed into my head

I have learned that the two phrases "what's the worst that can happen?" And "I'll never do that again" are closely related.

I was 16 or17. Bought an IH 414 tractor or some model I forget, it was an industrial model. Borrowed a trailer that had fenders sticking up, not a deckover. Loaded it with all the weight behind the trailer axles. Towed with a 1979 Dodge W250 with a wore out 318. Thought I was top shelf. Until I hit the first hill and could barely pull the hill. Then I hit the other side of the hill and learned about the tail wagging the dog. Never again lmao

Let's have that pipe a moment. CLANK!

Let's not drive for a couple of days while I decide if I need a doc to look at those ribs. Ow.

I had the company truck and trailer home for my 34. I had a branch that needed to come off a tree, right beside the trailer. Put ladder up against trailer, took chain saw to tree limb. Tree limb won. It came down all right, hitting me in the ribs, knocking me off the ladder and wondering where the hell the chain saw was. A couple of busted ribs out of that deal. Never let my employer know about it.

@DDlighttruck You can't say wore out. I confused a fellow member by using those two words. See posts #29964 and#29970.
