Word Censorship

    It's sometimes a pain in the ### when you try to read a post and there's a bunch of censored words showing up as "####".

    Would it be possible to allow users to individually disable the filter?

    Or maybe use word substitution. For example, a forum I frequent will replace the word "f--k" with the phrase "gently caress" unless you're logged in. It can be pretty funny when someone goes off on an expletive filled tangent.

    Hey there, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, the forum software we use doesn't provide the option to do either of those things. The filter is either off or on for the entire site, and it doesn't have the ability to do creative substitution.
