Has anyone got hurt and had to go on work comp? I was wondering how you were treated wonce you returned to work or was released? I was just woundering if what they say i will return or be fired or let go.
The way it used to be, if you got hurt on the job, they would bring you to the terminal in Des Moines, or closest maybe, and put you on light duty. There was a few guys there when I went thru orientation doing that.
Yup, no way they would want to pay you to sit at home.
If I were them I would probably do the same thing though. Keeps people honest.
I have met many drivers over the years that are just a little lazy. They would put in a comp claim that was really not needed, just so they could sit at home and collect money.
Light duty makes more sense to me, especially if you live a couple hundred miles or more away from the terminal.
This way you really have to need the comp to take it.
Who would want to sit at a terminal away from home for weeks, and get paid light duty pay.
