Anybody work out of the west middlesex, pa terminal? I applied and got a phone call. I worked at conway freight for awhile on the extra board and starved! How does it work with estes? Does the extra board work or do they starve? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

ive been to the wst mddlsex term, its pretty big.xtra brd drivers make good money, the highest paid drivers at estes.im an xtra brd driver,my 1st week out i ran 3113 mi in 6 days made 1200 net.not to bad for a new hire.it also depends on the terminal you work out of,i work out of pine brook nj term which is a hub and theyre always busy and have alot of freight.right now im covering a hub run to williamsport pa,pay sucks but you can always work sat or do a quick run after your shift.also alot of new trucks coming in and the lh drivers get 1st dibbs on em.my only complaint with estes is their tractors.junk.but that seems to be changing.............hopefully.get used to doubles, thats what youll be pulling 99 % of the time in a single screw in the snow, and its bad in your neck of the woods, lots of hills and ice.

TJ_97 Thanks this. -
Is it out n back or are you gone all week and home on weekends? I'm good with either but obviously it would be nice to get home every night or every other. As long as the pay is there I guess it doesn't matter.

as xtra brd you will be at 5 days until you get a bid, they have greenboard runs where youll be home wed for 10-12 hrs then back on the road and a meet and greet fri, home early sat.no sleepers or bunkhouses, you r put up in a hotel.you can also work something out with dispatch if needed, they seem to be pretty flexible.

Interview tomorrow. They have a combo deal (little bit of everything I guess) and a linehaul position. The guy told me the linehaul position is out 5 days home on weekends. From the way he talked they are super busy and hiring 35 more drivers. 35 seems like quite a bit. I'll see how the interview goes but as long as he's not blowing smoke it sounds like there's some money to be had.

I started orientation today in South Plainfield, NJ (Edison #006). I'm going to be doing Line Haul as an extra board driver. I'm really looking forward to hitting the road and running hard to make some decent money.
