Down here in Mississippi at night, they overdo it with LED work lights on these state trucks. Between the bright flashing green and white LED's blinding you and the idiots putting the cones and barrels out slalom style, it's all I can do to get thru there safely. I turn my bright lights on in turn to blind these clowns who are just standing around so I can see the road they are making impossible to see with their LED's.

These morons would sing a different tune if they were the ones working on the side of a road. I hate doing any kind of work on the side of a road. I was working on the side of a residential street last summer and some dumb bimbo almost managed to hit me while I was trying to get a machine running.

Yes you said kinda how I'm feeling. Active work zone signs, yes I understand, but aside from that...
Take i-80 thru Chicago even when NOT a work zone, it's posted 55mph and you simply cannot do it for fear of being wrecked by those jamming it and changing lanes right off your front bumper. Then again they hit the brakes. Some would say "do what you know is right and forget all the unsafe drivers" but really true it feels safer to go ahead and do 60-65 to keep with the flow of traffic.

Guess the thread was a sanity check on myself.
The responses now so far are what I expected, mostly everyone saying generally "yeah I don't speed and the people who speed are thoughtless."
Only problem is I never see any of y'all out there, all I see is dingbats whizzing around me. So the majority of responses should reflect that - right - majority should be saying "oh I speed thru for this and that reason."
TTR must only have the cream of the crop.

Knew some would take it this way. Not how post was intended. Hey I coulda not posted anything and just continue to be baffled by the topic.

But you....don't even have the guts to answer the question and tell me/us what's your reason?

    OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.

I just started driving but I try to always obey posted speed limits and listening to the CB can really irritate me while trying to follow posted laws but the nice thing is passing that guy two miles later because he is governed at what seems like 55 mph so I have assumed they speed in the work zones because that is literally the only time they can pass anyone....
