op: what's scary is the fact you've been driving a vehicle 10-15? years and still don't have a clue.

oh and i enjoy how anyone not driving the posted speed limit is a menace to society. you guys are cracking me up.

Been a few months when I was down there....BUT
Last time I was..the cones were still up with the Construction Speed Limit and the road was repaved months ago.

I have no reason to believe it's back to normal? ..Naw can't even say No Construction/Regular Speed Limit is normal.

Just follow the flow of traffic... If we all did that life would be so much better

I see far more small carriers and independents racing through construction zones than the big carriers. So the governed trucks aren't the reason.

My rig runs 75. Hardly ever sees it, though. My fuel mileage shows way better at about 65. And I still hit my appointment times, make good money, and take my ease every night. And I follow the posted speed limit.

Wonder what I'm doing wrong? You know, out there running like a professional like I was taught by all the old drivers I grew up with.

I'm still trying to understand why people don't follow most traffic laws.

Yeah, would seem simple. But, I NEVER follow traffic laws. I'm always going at least 2 miles an hour above the speed limit.

Here's another weird fact, traffic laws aren't consistent nationwide, they vary from state to state. Who sets this stuff up and why? I have no idea. Is there some opinion about these things that vary from state to state.

Construction zones are a prime example. I've seen the same identical construction type of zone vary from state to state as much as 20 mph. Why? Who decides this stuff? Scientists with differing opinions about safety? I have NO CLUE.

Some states care about ticket revenue more than others... All these dumb cities with 55mph speed limits are ridiculous... It's all about the money folks....

Because some of them are pretty dumb and just set up for revenue collecting....

Ever seen a cop do a speed limit? Only if hes checking plates on a city street...
