Lmao!!!! I've always wondered WHY they act like that???? And then one day you come across one that surprises you and is so nice that you have to do the double take look!!! R A R E!!!
Big Don Thanks this. -
I miss the days when the Coppers and DOT were very very kool people...Its rare to meet a good one anymore...Its all about the REVENUE at a human beings sake....SO SAD..
-
Yup,sure is. I still can't get over that "reflective tape torn" ####!!! You just said the other day, they were hot n heavy and pulling everyone in. I remember when they were letting the Mexican trucks come over and their trucks looked like they were duct taped together!!!! And now MOST drivers take pride in having a clean cdl and they act like that now!! UGH!!!

I'm to lazy, get hurt, live off of everyone else. My Accident almost killed me. Saw this at the L.A. docks/ poor fool jumped in the way of a crane. He got a lot of money, pees in a bag. Didn't work out like he thought. Greed never works out. Nice wheel chair though.
Big Don and landstar8891 Thank this. -
Particularly if you haul livestock and stand too close to your trailer!

You feeling all right? I can't hardly believe you would admit that!
The longer they have been in the business, the more likely they are to act like they (and whomever they are in contact with,) are both human-beings. Most LEOs need a few years, a few bumps and bruises and arse whippings before that badge no longer weights 25 pounds. And of course some, NEVER get over being badge heavy.
I put a lot of it down to the stuff they teach these kids in the academies. That coupled with the heavy testosterone of most guys in their early 20's is sort of a bad combination.
Oh no landstar, it is all about safety. NOT.
What a hell of a way to have to go through life. Of course we all bellyache about how screwed up Worker's Comp is. But it IS screwed up, mainly because of a few people who do deliberately get "hurted on the job."
It makes it very tough on the guy who normally does a good job, but gets hurt either due to equipment malfunction or someone having an anal/cranium inversion. Most of the times I was hurt, (either on OR off the job,) I was also the jerk who had my head up my butt for a moment. -

Ah good, you ARE feeling OK then! I'd really like it if you could do some ride-a-longs with some LEOs at some time or another. It might change your mind, particularly if your statement about being "fair" is not just pure BS.
Of course, I realize that your experiences may be colored by either "sibling rivalry," or the fact that you've been busted a few times.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard things like, "it wasn't me, man, it was S.O.D." (Some Other Dude) Or "you're just picking on me. Sure, I was 105 mph over the speed limit in a school zone, but there weren't no kids around, they were still in class.) Or, "that dope you found in my pocket? Man, I don't know how it got there, it sure ain't mine!"
Or just simply being called all the various names.
Of course if you don't have a thick skin, you don't belong in LE anyway. . .
