Or at a minimum, standing on the zipper so that the truck would've had to turn into the left lane and miss the worker in the bucket.

Here's that same trucking company involved in another accident...... Could it be the same driver?

DB Schenker hasn't done much to improve the quality of driver after acquiring USA Trucking

Imo this is 90% on the work crew. Absolutely no warning or safety equipment on the ground. People in the cab too lazy to put out cones? At least stand there and yell at traffic.

Dflip, Ddh77777 and 201 Thank this.

Two ways to look at it, the driver was wrong the way he took the corner, he had plenty of room to pull into the center lane (not the turn lane), there was no reason he needed to swing out to the right finishing the corner.
Also the Utlity people should have blocked that lane including shutting down the left turn lane.
So both were at fault, as to who will pay, well that will depend on the attourney and the judge.

    201 and Iamoverit Thank this.

I am genuinely interested to see how this will play out. I suspect both that trucking company and that utility contractor and/or state agency employing that line crew both literally have an army of lawyers on retainer.
