I should of waited it out your right. I'm 27 and I wonder if my back has gotten worse with the heaviness and pain in my lower back and calves when I walk. To not even being able to stand and fold laundry for too long cause it hurts. I'm not sure how much of that is due to the weight. But it's annoying. And I'm just nervous of going back to work and not being ready. Dr said I have like stenosis In the lumbar region. Idk what to do.

i think you got either a ruptured disk, or a herniated one.

my buddy had an extensive back surgery, and was told by the surgeon that he can maybe get x number of years till the next disk starts to go bad, cuz more pressure is put on the remaining disks.

to settle your mind, you might have to see a orthopedic surgeon or a neurologist and either one may send you out for x-rays or an MRI..and MRI's cost roughly $5,000

I'm terrified of back surgery! You really think that's what it is? Not the weight making it worse? I'm sure that doesn't help but I can't even walk for more then give minutes without my lower back just being on fire. Also can't workout cause it hurts to do the elliptical and stuff.

To put it in your own words, you are an overweight, alcoholic, clinically depressed person with bouts of Vertigo, who has a history of WC claims several months after starting a job.
If you were the person hiring for a company, would you hire this person?
Get the medical problems solved, first by getting off drugs and lose the weight. Then, take on the back problems, either by surgery or therapy. Until you solve those problems, you will have a hard time getting a job in trucking.

My fault probably should explain I know longer do this things. In recovery. Quit cold turkey. Haven't drank since May 27 of 2019 and the pills haven't had since June. Sorry should have explained that. But yea probably not basically a liability. Sucks cause I'm #### good at this line of work

    Its the weight.

I dont have a spine anymore worth a ####. I unloaded too many trailers in my time. T section bone mass is gone, the lower section is still there but they burn out the nerves set that signal pain once a year. I am relearning how to bowl again.

My last routine loads consisted up to 130 pound seafood-meats combinations. For up to 49000 twice a day. Pickup loading to floor and back off floor. The very last one landed me in the ER and Mr CAT scan, they told me I unloaded my last trailer. I shifted to medicines and that is absolutely no touch.

I battled weight as well years ago. I was at 270 at my worse and the heart and lungs could not keep up. I was told to lose it or die. Back below 190 in a year. THAT is a project I carefully work on. 170 is trim fighting weight and a goal.

There is no point in doing work that is conflict your vertigo, spine and so on so forth. If Social Security has ruled you disabled, and you get SSdI then you are completely out of the workforce with two exceptions. One is a medical review regularly and possibly a 9 month work anywhere experiment availible once in a life time to anyone. Otherwise you can work part time or whatever but above a certain dollar amount its a loss in benefits each month at a rate of two gone for one. So in the end you have a budget problem for a very long range future.

For me medicine advances made some things possible again. Which is amazing. But not everything. You only get one spine. Once that's damaged thats it.

I congratulate you on those achievements. After a certain time, they wont matter anymore. You will be fine. There is a horrifying number of people here in Arkansas eventually cutoff from pain care and then arrested for illegal drugs. Its a minimum of a year until trial sitting in the jail and tens of thousands in fines plus sentencing etc. And if you were caught in a car? its' owned by the state now. Gone. Pernamently.

My big issue that has evolved over time is understanding that I could be here 50 years from now. What am I going to spend 50 years doing after this one?

Or go crazy staring at 4 walls. No thanks. Im going out on my boots.

Idk if I'm old enough for ssi. And I have a wife and a three year old son. I can't be a dead beat dad like that. Im trying toose weight just hard to do anything cause .y back and my legs. I go to the gym and the indoor track and can't even make it around once before I have to stop cause of back and leg pain. I need to work to support them. If it kills my body in the future then so be it. I probably won't live last 60 anyways

Here in Searcy, my last two MRI's clocked in at 16000 and 14000 each. The billing clerk ripped up the two in our presence and round filed them. because we were part of the hospital staff at the time on their insurance and had dual coverage etc.

Needless to say that MRI data is extremely valuable today when doctors go over whats different. I would prefer never have to do another MRI again if I can help it particularly with the titanium inside of me.
