    Yeah, pretty much..

When i got laid off in 2009, it paid me more to live off the system and figure out how to milk it, rather than try to get a decent part time job.

    Right.
I dealt with the same stupidity in 2009when I was laid off and got an AAS in land survey.

If that's how you care to thanks those who attempt to help, enjoy your summer.

Otherwise, go talk to your case worker.

I too was granted a WIA Grant, and signed up for a boat load of Computer Certs, OK? I too was unemployeed back in 2009 and 2010, The computer class helped me get a job as a Call Center Help Desk tech, so then I didnt finish the Freakin School.

So now the School is jerking my chain to get my A55 in gear and get aleast one computer certificate.

I dont want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but it seem like the Free money from the WIA grants make people greedy. $5000 is a lot of money, and it did help me get back on the pay roll, but if I get removed from the school due to taking too long, Im going to be mad as hell.

    Shut Trip

Yeah , free money . Money from heaven . Nothing is free . Taxpayers pay for WIA funding and sending wannabes to CDL mills then to bottom feeder carriers where most don't last 6 months is a huge taxpayer ripoff .

I'm sure It's different from state to state, but I also got a WIA grant recently, actually just finished my first week of driving school at West Michigan CDL. here in Michigan, as long as you make under 20,000 a year, your still eligible for the grant. currently im working full time and going to school full time, and I'm making approx. 18.5k a yr.
