I want to revive this thread. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure on what an O/O is making hauling water or crude oil there around the Midland/Odessa area? I have a fleet of trucks now in Alberta and Saskatchewan doing it and Im wondering if the rates are compareable...

How is the housing situation, better or worse than it was a year ago? Can someone who lives in the area give me an idea of what a house or duplex (not an apartment because of dogs) rent will run $$$/ per month in a safe area?? Thanks!

From my experience houses and duplexes are hard to come by. We live in an apartment complex that is very pet friendly. I have a 85 pound dog and the pet deposit was reasonable.

I feel I could make more money working in West TX than up here in OK, but the cost of living would be higher too. Right now got a great renovated 3BR/2BA duplex for $950/ month with utilities of $180/month.

That would run you at least $1500 here, possibly much more.
