They probably have a hard time getting you home when you live near Spokane.
I've heard in the past Central is a fair outfit. But how good they are or aren't seems to be a roller-coaster, really. What's the status with Central today?

Cole is now the terminal manager in Conley.
They have been doing some house cleaning.
I ended up with 5 days for christmas and out for New Years. No problem for me. Good miles this week. No holiday lul accept for the days I wanted off. -
Seems like there moving all the good people out and bringing in the CR England rejects to run it........Watch yourself !
-
I feel that also...
They let Betty go... what a cluster that was....she was s sweetheart workhorse!
Everything i've experienced at Central has been "As Advertised"
I just have a few question's for mr misfit... With over 1 million miles, how come you came over to central? where's your own truck, that you bought with all those hi pain miles?
my last 3 weeks avg check has been $ 2300 -
Spokane is a lot of the reason we have troubles. Usually we're pretty flexible, because we know we're in the middle of nowhere. This last one was a screwup somewhere between the load planning and our delivery, we were told a 330a delivery, turned out it was suppsed to be a 1530 delivery the day before. Only way to get us delivered was to make us sit 2 days, which sucked, at we were 200 miles away from home. The upside was our fleet manager let us go home for Christmas while we waited, and we were paid detention pay. So, better than being stuck out in nowhere for Christmas.
How's central today? Seems okay, they're leaning on the repair shop to find out what's wrong with the truck. Our current fleet manager is better than the last one, although sometimes I wonder if he's really paying attention. -
When did they make him terminal manager in Conley?
-
Hey smadronia hows it going? Hope you had a nice x-mas and happy new year. I was just reading you msg. about getting home on time. Who is your fleet manager? are you Co. or owner op. let me know when you find out about Cole becomeing terminal manager in Conley, because just a couple of months ago I could have sworn that I saw Cole in Fontana. Have a good one
-
I will be there sunday morning at about 10 am. Yippee!
-
Oh god, that's completely funny. I hope Cole is enjoying my laptop. -
It was just a few weeks ago, maybe a month now at the most.
They had planned to make the entire workforce at Conley swap over to owner op dispatch only, then 3 days after they announce that to the drivers out of Conley I hear that Barry was just let go.
I guess it was 2 weeks after that they announced that Cole was taking over in Conley.
They have been doing allot of house cleaning with dispatchers, safety ect. at several of the terminals.
Freight is down again at the moment. I was running well till a slowdown at Thanksgiving, then another at Christmas. Still getting good miles all but the actual holiday weeks though. I had thought it would pick back up some now that they are over, but I sat 1 day last week waiting for a load in Jersey and now 2 days in Ohio waiting to deliver on monday.
THis weekend I think I can put on the shoulders of night and weekend dispatch though, I have a preset to pick up monday as well but it is just a short 360 mile run.
My guess is that my dispatcher will not be happy with them when she gets back and sees that I sat all weekend on a load she had me drop Friday.
Weekend dispatch had me hook it again Saturday morning to deliver it.
I am not happy, but I will wait a few weeks to see if the low miles continues to be an issue.
My average with them for the last 6 months is around 3175 miles a week.
