Yeah wait time sucks, that's reefers, but at least it's not "for free" here. And our reefer work in no way compares to what shenanigans normal reefer truckers have to put up with on a daily basis. It's a piece of cake by comparison.

I just rolled over 200,000 safe miles on Tuesday and zero Lytx events since I hired on 34 months ago. At that rate it'll take me another 4 years & 3 months to get that 500,000 safe miles decal on the sleeper.

    48Packard Thanks this.

The average age for drivers at Walmart is 55. So they have lot of drivers retiring consistently. The average annual turnover rate for WM is 7 to 12%

True. The average LTL carrier has lower turnover than Walmart but not by a lot. In comparison typical OTR outfits are in the 90+% range with turnover. I remember there was a time in the early aughts when average turnover was routinely, year in and year out, over 100% in the OTR segment. So 90% is an improvement but it's still terrible and an indictment on the industry.

Congrats on the milestone and zero Lytx events!

Part of the cause where I am is the warehouse. It was seemingly behind all last week. Being almost completely automated, if one thing burps the whole warehouse has to take Pepto.

Yeah it's a thing I know. We actually help out covering some of your DC's stores from loads and drivers out of our DC to take some of the pressure off you guys. They're building a new automated whse over here exactly like yours. It won't be ready for a couple of more years though. I hope they get figured out by then.

    48Packard Thanks this.

Spring time - they use those for hauling mulch and composed dirt, etc to the stores direct from the producers.

    thatsright and 48Packard Thank this.
