    Another "2 poster".
Not in the case of werner. I drove for them for almost 10 years(training off and on) and im here to tell anyone who is thinking of driving for them, dont. Drive for schneider, swift, jb, anyone but them. Im not negative nor do I have a bad attitude, I am realistic and try to tell it like it is, ppl need to hear the truth not be misled by recruiters. And werner could care less about your attitude. How is werner gonna get students into their trucks if there are already drivers in them. Theyve been doin this forever at the same caliber. Youre nothin but a warm body at werner and attitude or "Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react" has nothin to do with it when it comes to this bunch, and they are as bad as everyone says, from experience, I would say worst. Read this forum and some of my others posts if youd like and make your mind up for yourself. You dont wanna learn the hardway, i can tell you that much..

Well Joe sorry I dont post as often as you do... I have only been reading these forum threads for a month or so and have only recently joined the forum. My main issue is that there is a place for your garbage dumping posts... this isnt it. This guy is trying to chronicle his time with Werner... If he had put in his original post "Please...every disgruntled employee Werner has ever had fill my thread with your negative remarks" then it would be fine. It just amazes me how every positive post becomes a place for negative remarks.

Thank you for qualifying your remarks...at least you have worked there...and for 10 years. I dont believe most of the trolls on here have even worked for the companies they flame.

    Respectfuly yours,

Why do you think people post so many neg things about werner or as you said "garbage dumping posts"? Because 95% of them are the truth. Its not as if werner is a good company to work for and they dont violate peoples rights or treat them with disrespect and its just "disgruntal employees" on here, they are the worst company in the industry when it comes to these things, im sure ALOT of ppl who have been in the ind for for a substantial amount of time would agree. So what you are sayin is dont say anything on here if it hurts "werners good name?"HA. And that anything that isnt positive(even if it be the truth) is garbage dumping posts? You are the one with garbage dumping posts. If werner was a good respectable company to work for, didnt treat their employees like dogs or disposable napkins, didnt have a revolving door fueled by free money from the gov via training and it was only a few ppl that were,as u said disgruntal, then yes that would be true of what you said. But its not, its the other way around. You have no idea what you are talking about, either that or you have alterior motives..And I wasnot a disgruntal employee, more like sickened from the things I would constantly see and hear go on. Werner isnot someone you want to be employed by.

Well Joe if you are going to quote something please make sure its correct... I never said anything about Werners good name. And I am not saying anything good or bad about Werner.... so please try to decipher my simple posts. i said if you want to flame a company do it in the right spot. This guy is trying to relate his experience with a company... obviously you cant respect that.

there are plenty of places for you to flame Werner... Oh and your comment about my number of posts is funny...I see you have hit 17 I guess that makes you an expert.

I am not an expert...never claimed to be and as to other motives...thats funny. I have never said anything good or bad about any trucking company..I have simply asked a couple questions. So if you just want to flame companies and people do it in the right spot.

You sure do think alot of stuff is funny, theres nothing funny about werners ethics, definitely no wrong place to speak the truth or help someone instead of having them learn the hardway..So do you work for werner,a non-driver employee possibly? If you dont then you have no idea about what you are sayin, if you do then you are greatly mis-informing ppl and/or donot want them to
hear what I have to say. As for flaming, what I have wrote isnot flaming, werner's ethics and how they run their business and treat their employees is dispicable, people should hear both sides of the story, not base their decision on one person. A few good stories should not denoounce the THOUSANDS of ppl who get screwed by werner and treated like dirt. If werner was a good company to work for and then a few bad stories should not denounce the THOUSANDS of good stories; that of course isnot the case. Werner is the worst company in the industry when it comes to the way they think of their drivers. You sound like a dictator telling me what I can and cant say and where to say it, now that is funny. People donot deserve to put up with the antics of these crooks.
And definitely should not have to learn the hardway.

OK Joe, while I understand what you are saying because believe me I have heard it from numerous drivers here at Werner, you have to understand that I have heard an equal number of good things from other drivers here. I may not be in this business for a long time but I do know and recognize people who like to complain a lot. In fact I meet them all the time. It doesn't matter how well or how bad they are treated, they will complain no matter what.

The other thing I’d like to say is most people have to learn on there own what they are comfortable with or not. If I listened to everyone I have met in this industry with advice about who to work for or not I would be unemployed right now. As my trucking school recruiter told me, “Go with who will hire you”. That was good advice. Werner hired me and I will give them the best I have until they prove unworthy of my dedication and hard work.

The only problem I have found so far is consignees who don’t give a crap about how long you sit at their docks before they unload you. Case in point I’m sitting at a famous candy companies dock right now,(14 hours). I won’t tell you the name but it starts with N. There were 3 other trucks here with product for them before me. All they said was I’ll get to you when I can. Is this Werner’s fault. I think not. They get the orders and ship them. On my end I can’t make money like this. Good thing I don’t run into this often but it does happen and should I blame the company I work for?

You can say what you want (and I wish you would take it to a more appropriate forum) but there are people who make a good living with this company. I was in management (manufacturing):biggrin_255: for the better part of 18 years and I used to tell my men they are free to leave any time they want so I’m glad you have moved on and are in a job that really
treats you well. Anyway God Bless. Bob

When starting out you have NO experience so I could never understand all of my fellow werner drivers at the time complaining about stuff. I would always say how do you know youve been working driving for three months give me a break. A positive attitude is a good thing to have and being on a dedicated acount will keep u busy. I remember my last 2 months with werner things had slowed down at the time. I would reccomend them to a new driver without a doubt. Be fait and honest with Dispatch and they will usually b fair with u.

    Taarna Thanks this.

Im not a complainer nor am i "everyone", im a million mile driver who has been in this industry for 11 years and worked for werner for 10, ive seen first hand what this company is all about, too many times. It doesnt matter who you are or what kinnd of attitude you have with werner, people need to realize that the trucking industry is laying off and the only reason werner iis hiring is becuz they are firing. You are just a warmbody that werner receives taxbreaks from for training. The reaon there is such a high turnover is because theres such a high financial incentive to get drivers out of the trucks and students in them ."theres people at werner who make a good living" is total bs. The Majority of the fleet is only making .24-.25 cpm and not running that many miles to begin with. We're not speaking of the minority of drivers who make good money, im speakin of the majority who get screwed, it should be the other way around, that is un acceptable.I guess the drivers makin good money should be beside the pictures of the new trucks and grassy hills iinside the terminals or on the recruitment pamplet, cuz theyre few and far inbetween. NOT to mention that students and rookie drivers are far more dangerous then experienced drivers and werner has a blatant disregard when it comes to the safety of the motoring public by continuingly hiring students out of pure greed.

If the only problem you have found so far is"consignees who don’t give a crap about how long you sit at their docks " thats probly becuz werner is the only outfit you have drove for and you havent been around lon enough to know any different. I can tell you that werner is by far the dirtiest and worst company in the industry, they dont care about their drivers, why do you think they continue to hire students? Brcause they set their experienced drivers up for failure and fire them; cant put a student in a truck if theres a driver already in it." I may not be in this business for a long time" Ya ur right..you probably wont be
What does sitting at a dock have to do with werner?Anything? I think not. You sit at docks with every company-didnt get that?? but ok..
"Werner hired me and I will give them the best I have until they prove unworthy of my dedication and hard work." Which won't be long. werner, they willnot give you everything they have, speaking from experience, you are very foolish bob. Either that or you are another recruiter who has joined the big truck trucking forum again.
How can u tell me not to post here?lol What happened to the truth, the whole truth and nothin but the truth? People dont need to be misled and anyone that is called a complainer at werner, 95% of the time its werner, not them. 10 years with them, save yourself the trouble, dont work for them if thats what you're thinkin of doin. You can learn thehardway, just tryin to help.
    God bless, joe
