I am still with Sunoco...I did transfer to OK though. I like it here a LOT....although the money isnt quite as good. It works out great for me when I look at the total picture. As far as the referrals go, I dont pursue those any more. However, I do still encourage everyone to find someone to use as a referral when they change jobs. That money is available and someone may as well get it. That someone might have some strings they can pull for you also. For me, personally, there are reasons why I dont pursue them anymore...but the reasons are not something I will post publicly.
Good luck! I read and posted in your other thread. You'll have an oilfield job before you get back to reading this anyway! .... well, maybe not that quick

Sorry, I meant $1000, not $10,000. Too late to edit...

I believe duel trucking in bainville Montana flys you in and out. I can fly out of Minot to Tampa Florida for 600.
six figures in oklahoma is possible, I just did but since all the drilling rigs moved out of northwest oklahoma I'm back up in ND. -
You cant haul crude unless you have tanker experience most insurance companies want 2 years ive tried and was told to drive water truck for 2 years and bobtails dont count

$20 per hour would not be enough to draw me out to ND.
Enid is not as busy as a year ago for water haulers but the oil guys are still consistently busy. Six figures is possible in OK and TX if you can work 14-hour days and a 5-1 schedule. Forget about weighing safety and performance bonuses in total compensation, as such money is in the power and emotion of management, not the driver. -
The hours make $20 an hour more but yes $20 is not enough for North Dakota except for those with zero experience. I'm now working at production water hauling at .50 a barrel. Unlimited hours makes it the difference. Whenever there is service work I get $30 an hour.
The bigger companies are driving down the wages paying $20 an hour with 60 to 70 hours a week. That isn't enough IMHO to be up in ND.
My minimum is $2500 a week. If I don't make that I'm outta here -
We have 4 trucks hauling gas such as Y grade and Propane, these are all radius haul from rail to plant or plant to plant. All wages are based on gross, 70/34 work week. Drivers average 1000-1500 take home p/w, also paying weekly. One position opening 1-15-14
