    If you work under the table then how do you prove your work history if you want to change jobs? You'll have a big hole in your employment record that you will need to explain.

    The risk doing this as a professional driver is much too great. One accident or DOT inspection and your career is over. Exactly how does the company propose to insure you?


    ... and then what?

    After basically driving uninsured for all that time you also risk paying those taxes with penalties and interest, not to mention potential jail time. Then when it comes time to retire you haven't paid into social security and your income sufferers when you need it most.

    I wouldn't worry about the IRS, they are easy to please compared to the lawyer who will take everything from you and the company you "worked" for when you get into an accident driving their truck.
