I was in a tornado in November of 2013. I had just finished training with c.r. england. The tornado picked the truck up and then flipped it upside down and smashed it to the ground. I got a broken back and a massive concussion. I was on workmans comp for almost 7 months. I finally got back to work and the company started taking my checks claiming I owe for health insurance for the entire time I was out. I have tried for over a month to get this fixed. I called while hurt and was told I did not have health insurance.

Any advice you might have would be greatly appreciated. I am at a loss of work to do. I need to go higher up in the company but no one will tell me how to contact any of the englands.

Call a lawyer if you was not covered while out they can not take payment for it.

I would think that the insurance carrier for the actual truck would come into play here. I know for fact the company can be sued for expenses not covered by the workers comp carrier. I did it and collected for my vacation pay which was paid on a percentage basis of anniversary date to anniversary date, in my case that was 10% and I collected every dime. Always get a lawyer, they work on contingency, no win no pay nothing to loose for you. More often than not it will be settled out of court, winds up being cheaper for the company.

    Hi
My doctor said I have Sciatic Nerve Pain because I am driving truck for over 15 years and damaged my back seating for long hours (part of my work).
I am paying workers compensation insurance for more thay 3 years ($156 a month)
Do you think I can get a couple of weeks off and get check from WCI?
    Thanks
