I just test drove the truck and theres no fuel knock or smoke at all so its definitely not burning it.
I'm not dumb I've been around truck drivers my whole life. I know an engine won't magically burn an excessive amount of fuel. Were talking like at least 400 liters missing from the tanks. It was only one trip that it did this and it was while he was home with the truck for the weekend.

Who knows, gotta give the guy the benefit of the doubt, maybe he lives in a bad neighborhood and someone else helped themselves,
there are anti syphon kits available that you could install to the tanks,MNdriver Thanks this. -
You are correct, maybe someone DID drain the tanks. Hard to say. If it becomes common, then you got real issues. -
Well heres the other ? When was it and where I have a mbn cat c15 and two weeks ago heading out Dickinson nd I got 3mpg at 64 mph the had I done 70 in that headwind I prob would of got 2.5 if even but the wind was so strong one gust hit and ripped my top of my cab extender off snapped it right off grant it must of been a little lose but I wasnt much cause I never noticed it ...but if he could run 70 with low ponies bucking high winds especially loaded heavy thats very plausible milage. .wind is a very big factor I owned my truck and wanted to cry that day

I had a C15 that would average 5.0 on a good day. When the boss would send me to Flori-duh to unload on a Friday morning with no load until Monday morning, sitting all weekend in 95* weather with all the humidity, the truck averaged 2.5 mpgs by the Monday morning fill up

Thats another good point how much idling did he do drastically reduces my milage I average 5 to 5.5 but if I idle alot for ac I get down to 4.5 then if you count other variables again very possible .. but I feel the pain of your wallet and understand your concern

Wow fire a guy with no proof of any wrong doing theres a guy or company id never want to work for...did you read the part where there loads are around 120, 000 and hes got 450hp and allowed to do 70 ...with all the wind weve been having im positive that driver did no wrong but I dont knowthe weather or road conditions( ie) what kind of hills if any..but idk im just saying its possible

Almost everyone has said that its the driver selling fuel. Our 06 averaged LESS than 2 one day...1.75mpg to be exact. Transfer pump went out only had 67lbs of fuel pressure. Has the driver complained about having no power? Did you bother to check everything on the truck? By all means trucks can get horrible fuel economy I've seen 3.5 out of mine bucking winds. Yes 2.5 is pretty bad but don't go pointing fingers at drivers before all facts are known
Charli Girl Thanks this.
