I just switched trucks, yesterday was my first day driving a Cascadia,
This is a wore out old truck and my shifting SUCKS, the rpms drop like a rock with a lead weight tied to it, then there's a delay when I step on the fuel,
    I'll get used to her.

9 years and I ain't perfect yet either

Then there are days when it seems like I am a first timer.....

It's a little bit you.. .. A little bit equipment.... A little bit experience....

I hope that wasn't you who just knocked on my door, woke me up and told me he couldn't get around me at an angled pullout rest area. Charlotte welcome center nb I77. I'm between the lines.

But did you pull up too far? Are you centered between the lines or is the front bumper two inches from the line while the dot bumper is a foot away?

Not trying to start anything - just tossing some thoughts out there.

Just about the same thing happened to me: my trainer was in the front seat on my very first trip out. After about 30 minutes he hit the sleeper! I remember thinking to myself, "you sure you want to do that?"

Personally I've always considered that a compliment. IMHO it means that the trainer is confident enough in your driving ability that he feels it's safe for him to catch his 10 hours; he's pretty sure that, when he wakes up, the truck's still going to be upright and in one piece.
