NM has been known to need the assistance of tow trucks to pull their snowplow drivers out of the ditch!

Who do you think is DRIVING those plow trucks? The same people who don't know how to drive their cars in the stuff because they only see it once every couple years. Put someone who can't drive in snow behind the wheel of a plow truck, and they'll end up in the ditch with surprising regularity...:biggrin_25526:

That's my attitude about whatever falls in my driveway or the road in front of my house...shoveling snow is against my religion. I figure God in his infinite wisdom placed that snow in my driveway, and it is not my place as a mere mortal to move it elsewhere. If I need to grab a shovel in order to get in or out, it's time to buy a bigger truck.:biggrin_2559:

As far as canada is concerned, any road or highway during or just after the first winter storms hit. Canadians drive in winter conditions all the time but seem to forget all their skills during summer. Kind of an instant re-training thing. Pile ups galore during first winter event.

I think that's true pretty much ANYWHERE. The difference is in places where they only get 1 or 2 snow/ice events per year, they never learn...only wreck.

Ice storms shut Oklahoma down. And if there is any measurable snow as well? UGH.

80 in WY. If it's not snowy and icy its going to be windy as heck. One wreck and they'll shut the whole thing down. Then you get the ice fog at night... tons of fun.
