I had that happen to me once....let's see that was in the last century...been married ever since....something to do with "trust me"!
One stroke per hole....and I thought I had it bad...I at least try for par...which is usually 3 or 4 strokes per hole! I love innuendo! I really do!
I really don't think freight has been that bad this season. I've seen worse. Jan and Feb of 2009 come to mind. Try to get to the NE if you want freight. It'll be lots of short runs, but there's always plenty of freight in the Northeast.
I got my truck out of shop status last Tuesday afternoon. By this Tuesday, 1/25, I'll have 3200+ paid miles. I don't remember my miles for the two weeks prior but my mileage pay (per week) averaged $900+/- . . plus I got my three weeks of vacation pay. How do I get hooked up with this slow down thing?
I hear ya. I always seem to get up there this time of year. And I get good miles while everyone else is sitting around. The thing is, I don't mind sitting around- I kind of look forward to this season as a break from the rush rush. I wonder why they don't get the miles hungry drivers to run the NE instead of me? I guess it's just cause I'm based out of Jonestown which is a NE terminal.
They moved me 300 miles from Ennis TX to Tulsa. Thought I might be sitting once I got here but I got planned on a load within minutes of the time I let them now I was in Tulsa. Problem now is truck won't start so load was pulled. Sitting and waiting on onroad. Got a msg saying that they are very busy and to be patient. They should just make that a "canned" message. Save on typing time.
