Heres another one...Back before they built I-68. Coming into Cumberland, MD was fun. 25 mph in town at the bottom of the hill hoping u werent smoking them brakes. Like others have said, brake capasity wasnt quit the same back then lol. Like the song says..."Got the Hwy 40 Blues". Dang...now Im feelin old lol. Be safe out there drivers.

One thing to remember is that if you do go over "the worst" often enough, it becomes no longer the worst. And of course, THAT ALONE, can get you dead.

Your so right. Part of the reason for 68 was a ol boy lost his brakes coming in Frostburg and bulldozed a couple homes and killed some people. People still cook the brakes on eastbound 68 all the time.
