Mmmmm? I used to haul Road Salt at 97,000Lbs Gross to the High Country in Colorado from Utah. I'd say the worst Pass was either US 40 Rabbit Ears pass going toward Steamboat Springs CO. or maybe US 50 Monarch Pass going toward Gunnison CO.????
You REALLY had to be on your A GAME!
I used to say forget 'Ice Road Truckers' and try this scary ####!

Anybody remember the old La Veta pass on 160, before they four laned it?
Another real fun one is CA SR 58 between Santa Margarita and the Carrisso (sp?) Plains. It used to be signed as not "recommended" for trucks. I second that recommendation!Sam Hell, aiwiron and Working Class Patriot Thank this. -
Elk Mtn in wyoming, doesn't look that bad but wind can get crazy and mess you up real quick, and coming down too many close calls with trucks jackknifing on black ice on the way down

That hole down into Lewiston Idaho ain't no joke but i enjoy all downhill grades

The other day when I was driving from Knox, Tn to Nashville, TN I went down this one that had a very steep grade on it. I have no clue what the name of it was, but it was in between Knoxville, and Nashville on I-40.
